Craftsmanship as origin

White Clothes

Each bag of White Clothes begins as a loose thread.

I work with crochet and filet crochet stitch by stitch, without industrial processes.

I'm not looking for perfect surfaces.
I look for texture, repetition, time.

White doesn't hide the work.
He reveals it.

Each piece is handmade in my workshop, with materials selected for their quality and durability.

White Clothes · SS26 Collection 9

White clothing is my new proposal for the spring-summer season.

It stems from my childhood memories, from a very specific and sensory universe: the drawers where the embroidered bed linens were kept, the smell of freshly washed and ironed clothes, the soaps that were hidden among the sheets so that everything smelled clean, like home, like care.

It is born from laundry hanging in the midday sun, from village courtyards, from slow, leisurely hours. From a way of living and creating where nothing was immediate and everything had value.

I grew up surrounded by hand-worked white fabrics. As a child, I attended embroidery classes after lunch to escape the village sun. There I learned stitches like bobbles, hemstitch, fillings, and flowers. We embroidered sheets, handkerchiefs, and linen towels. Without realizing it, I was learning to look at crafts with respect.

Over time, I came to understand that this way of working—slow, careful, almost silent—was also a contemporary way of creating. At Ropa Blanca, I translate those memories and that learning into handcrafted bags where gesture and material take center stage.

I've worked on this collection primarily with white and natural fabrics, using techniques like crochet and filet crochet, which allow me to create open, geometric, and delicate patterns, closely linked to the world of bedding and traditional embroidery. These fabrics reveal the structure, the repetition, and the time invested in each stitch.

The surfaces are not meant to be smooth or perfect. They aim to showcase the craftsmanship, the relief, the texture. The patterns emerge from repetition, rhythm, and patience, just like the embroidery that used to be done for hours on a linen sheet or towel.

The bags have simple, functional shapes, designed for everyday use without sacrificing style. Some models incorporate details like woven roses in the center, bamboo handles, or lightweight structures that provide balance and support, always maintaining a clean and minimalist aesthetic.

White permeates the entire collection as a conscious choice. It's not a decorative white, but a white that allows you to see. To see the stitches, the patterns, the gesture. Eliminating color is a way of giving center stage to the craftsmanship.

Each piece of Ropa Blanca is handmade, stitch by stitch, without haste and without industrial processes. They are bags designed to last, to age beautifully, and to become objects with meaning.

This collection doesn't follow fleeting trends. It's a timeless, honest proposal deeply connected to memory, where craftsmanship isn't an aesthetic resource, but the origin of everything.

White clothes are a way of remembering with your hands.
